2020 Virtual Summer Reading Program

July 6 – August 15 join us for our first ever virtual summer reading program! Stay home and go wherever your imagination takes you!

To register, send email to Patty at pkennedy@rcls.org with a parents name and the name and age of each child to be registered.

Once the program starts, you’ll receive email every Monday morning with a secret password and a link to a ZOOM meeting.  Each week there will also be a Goodie Bag available for Curbside pickup for each child enrolled in the program.  Bags can be picked up Tue-Thu 12:00-4:00, Friday 12:00-6:00, Saturday 10:00-3:00. Call the library before you come.

The password will give you access to special content on our website, for you to enjoy  whenever you want. We’ve partnered with Page Turner adventures for Week1. Program presenters will vary throughout the summer.

The link will let you access a weekly live event. Parents and children are welcome to join. The first live event will be Thursday July 9 at 4:00: Greetings from Miss Patty.

Parallel Pandemic of disinformation

There’s a parallel pandemic of disinformation online with regards to the Coronavirus, and much of it is potentially very dangerous.

Better information can save lives, I encourage you to rely on your library to provide information you can trust so you can be better prepared  – inoculated, if you will – when confronting disinformation on or beyond the Web.

We miss YOU!

We will re-open. We just don’t know when yet. The decision will be made when state and local authorities and the Ramapo Catskill Library System recommend that it’s safe for our patrons, staff, and volunteers.

Until then, check out our Digital Download Center by clicking the icon in the sidebar. Some titles may have a wait list. But if we own a copy, our patrons move to the front of the hold list!
Our most recent purchases include Dear Edward, Such a Fun Age, American Dirt and the Amazing Spider-Man. And there are lots of titles with no wait list.

If you don’t have a library card, you can sign up for a temporary card when you visit the Digital Download Center.
