to Speak on Famous Cases and Answer Any Questions

LUMBERLAND, NY – Sunshine Hall Free Library is proud to announce an exclusive afternoon with world-famous forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden and acclaimed defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden. The dynamic husband-and-wife duo will give an insider’s talk on high-profile investigation, followed by a live audience Q&A session moderated by Emmy-nominated actress, author, and local resident Melissa Gilbert.
The free event will take place on Saturday, October 17th at 12:00 Noon at the Lumberland Town Hall located at 1054 Proctor Road, Glen Spey.
Dr. Michael Baden has spent decades at the center of some of the most historic investigations in American history, having served as the Chief Medical Examiner of New York City and the Chairman of the House Select Committee on Assassinations’ Forensic Pathology Panel. His work spans the investigations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., George Floyd and numerous other high-profile cases. Linda Kenney Baden, a highly respected former prosecutor and powerhouse defense attorney, has litigated complex, televised criminal trials nationally and regularly lends her legal expertise to major news networks.
Together the Badens will offer attendees a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the intersection of forensic science and criminal justice.
Following their presentation, Melissa Gilbert will take the stage to lead an interactive Question and Answer session, allowing community members to ask the experts about their storied careers.

The Sunshine Hall Public Library serves the communities of the Town of Highland and Lumberland, and boasts over 6000 yearly visitors. The library is much more than books. It is a hub of our community, a “palace of wisdom,” and card holders have free online access to the New York Times, the streaming movie channel Kanopy, Duolingo, and so much more.
This event is a fundraiser for the library. Our 110-year-old historic building requires that we be vigilant in its maintenance and care, including lots of love for our outdoor deck along the Halfway Brook, an idyllic spot to read or use the free WiFi.
There is a ten-dollar suggested donation, and there will be an opportunity to get a free library card,or become a Friend of the Library.
