  1. Constance Hallinan Lagan says:

    Good afternoon,

I am a motivational speaker who presents in three areas: business development, career advancement and personal enrichment. During these uncertain times, Long Island, New York, libraries have been booking my webinars in lieu of my live seminars. I understand some other NYS libraries are also offering online programming to patrons.

Would you be interested in booking and hosting a webinar? I am familiar with the Zoom, WebEx and GoToMeeting platforms.

I have customized two of my most appropriate seminars, one in the job search area and in the stress management area, to the pandemic situation. I have also reduced my seminar fee for webinars.

Thanks for the Pink Slip: The Upside to Being Downsized, Fired, Let Go, Laid Off, Eliminated, Terminated, Etc.
Whatever your boss calls it, you’ve been fired. Instead of holding the infamous “pity party,” try hosting a celebration bash, even though you will have to do it following social distancing during the pandemic. After all, you are now FREE to explore new possibilities, perhaps find a job you really could love, finish that screenplay you started in college, join the Peace Corp, or follow your passion into a self-employment venture. Since the pandemic began, the unemployment rate has risen rapidly and is expected to reach 20% in the near future. Finding employment in the current economy is challenging; planning for your next job search or to start you own business needs to begin now. With the assistance of career counselor Constance Hallinan Lagan, this webinar may motivate you to transition into the life you have always dreamt about doing work you really love.

    Finding Peace in Chaotic Times
Life is filled with chaos, some of which we cause ourselves and some of which we have done nothing personally to attract it into our lives. The current pandemic is an all-too-real example of the latter.
How we handle chaos affects every aspect of our existence: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Each stage of the acceptance/empowerment process brings challenges, demanding we stretch and grow. If we live in fear of what comes next, we hinder our development and miss life’s greatest blessings. Chaos often serves as a gangplank to hopelessness, fear and pessimism; however, with a shift in perspective, chaos can become a gateway to peace, harmony and happiness. Motivational speaker Constance Hallinan Lagan will help you understand the process of moving safely and securely through chaos.
I welcome your questions and would be pleased to respond to any phone or email queries you may have. If you are not the correct person to contact regarding virtual programming, please forward this to the appropriate staff member. Thank you.
